The Rantings of a Shop Girl on Saturday morning

Well, it's hot in the store and not just because the temperature outside. The studio is blazin' since we've added the upstairs space. It's quiet here this morning, so a good time to reflect and brainstorm. It was also a good day for shop dog, Merry, to come to work today. It's funny that each of the Ohio Scouts have dogs with girls' names. There's Laura and Lucy, too. Anyway, back to reflection... One of the biggest factors in what the Scouts select for the studio is to bring ideas and merchandise to Dayton that you can't find around here. We often have people in the shop who remark, "I don't feel like I'm in Ohio when I'm in your store." Although we all love our hometown, we take it as a compliment. So that's been our motivation behind the new lines we've brought in. In addition to new items, we also "scout" for the unique, one-of-a-kind vintage pieces.
